Blades Defenseman, Matt Loundagin #7 is from Casper, Wyoming. He is 18 years old. He attends online classes through Casper Community College. He enjoys hanging out with friends in his free time, and his hobbies include hunting and fishing. Matt has previously played junior hockey with the Casper Coyotes. Joel and Sue Will, who live in Waseca, host Matt Loundagin #7. Joel and Sue are a new billet family for the Steele County Blades and were excited for a new experience. They became interested in hockey through watching both their son and daughter play with the Waseca Hockey Association. Their son after graduation continued on by playing junior hockey. Joel and Sue said this experience is allowing them to pay it forward to an up and coming hockey player by being supportive while away from their home. We had over 1,000 attendees and raised over $3,000 for the Stick it to Cancer fund. All proceeds will be donated to the local From the Heart Organization which raises fund for local families dealing with the disease. Their 7th annual From the Heart Half Marathon and 5k will be held on May 2nd 2015. Check out their website for more details.

Long time rink announcer and current Blades Vice President Pete Kalan was the special honored guest at the Blades Stick it to Cancer night.
The Steele County Blades are looking for volunteer help on game nights. We need ticket takers, merchandising, chuck-a-puck helpers, ushers and camera operators. Colton has played with the El Paso Rhinos, Topeka Capitals, and the Iowa Wild AAA U18 prior to joining the Steele County Blades. He aspires to play college hockey.
Blades Forward, Gabe Martin #22 (left) is from Altoona, Wisconsin. He is 19 years old. He enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends in his free time. He came to us from the Iron Rangers, Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota. He also aspires to play college hockey.
Tony and Shelly Dunkin, who live in Waseca, host players Colton Sprenger #21 and Gabe Martin #22. Tony and Shelly are a new billet family for the Steele County Blades and were excited for a new experience. They became interested in hockey through watching their son Madison play with the Waseca Hockey Association. They indicate they enjoy having the young men in their home and love supporting the team.
